The Workout

XFormer workouts are designed to enhance strength, endurance, control and balance. Completely low impact, every class works core abdominals & obliques, legs/glutes, and upper body with slow-moving continuous resistance that pushes muscles into burn, shake and fatigue for maximum impact.

Instructors are close by to keep you motivated and adjust your form. Every exercise can be adapted to your strength and challenge readiness by using a different spring load or minor adustments to your position.

Preparation

Grip socks are required and available for purchase. Please avoid loose clothing and jewelry. A water bottle is recommended.

Please arrive 5 minutes early to all classes and 10 minutes early to your first class for a rundown of the equipment.

Our small class size allows for lots of personal attention from our instructors so that beginners can jump right into the standard class.

The Benefits

CORE strength training improves posture and reduces the risk of back injuries. A strong core can improve overall strength in the upper and lower body, making daily tasks easier and efficient.

HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) can burn more calories compared to steady-state cardio in a shorter workout session. HIIT has also been shown to increase metabolism and improve cardiovascular health and endurance.

SHAKE: Working muscles to fatigue during exercise stimulates muscle growth, strength and metabolic rate by inducing micro-tears that repair post-exercise and build stronger muscle fibers.

COMMUNITY workout settings can inspire us to push ourselves harder, especially when surrounded by others who are also working towards their fitness goals. Working out in a supportive group is more enjoyable, makes us less likely to skip workouts, and keeps us motivated.

The XFormer

The XFormer is a modern version of a Pilates reformer designed for a high intensity workout. It features a sliding carriage between two platforms with numerous handles and cables that can be instantly adapted for over 150 different exercises. Difficulty is controlled by a set of tension springs that can be quickly swapped without interrupting flow for a continuous workout.
